Person-to-Person, Not Point-and-Click

At Yakima Valley Supply, ordering is handled person to person. We work through a dedicated sales representative so the process stays practical, flexible, and tailored to the way your crew actually uses supplies in the field.

We are not built around automated checkout or one-size-fits-all ordering. We are built around conversations, quantity planning, product fit, and dependable follow-through.

  1. Introductory Meeting

We start with an in-person meeting to learn about your operation, your workflow, and the supplies you go through on a regular basis.

Your sales rep will get a clear understanding of:

    • The type of work you do
    • The crews or job types you are supplying
    • The products you use most often
    • Where you are burning through consumables on the job

This gives us a starting point to understand what matters most to your business before talking pricing or quantities.

  2. Bid Sheet / Order Sheet Review

After the introduction, your rep will meet with you to go through a bid sheet or order sheet in more detail.

This step is where we work through:

    • Product categories
    • Required specs
    • Preferred brands or equivalents
    • Sizes, thicknesses, nap lengths, widths, and other job-specific details
    • Rough order quantities based on your normal usage

The goal is to make sure we are quoting the right products for the right application, not just throwing numbers at a generic list.

  3. Follow-Up and Pricing

Once your needs are understood, your rep follows up with pricing and any additional questions needed to finalize the quote. This part of the process may include:

    • Clarifying specs
    • Confirming quantities
    • Discussing substitute or equivalent options
    • Refining the order based on your priorities
    • Providing pricing once the scope is clear

We keep this step personal because supply needs often change once the details are reviewed.

  4. Order Confirmation and Delivery

Once the order is finalized, your rep confirms everything directly with you and arranges delivery. That means:

    • Final quantities are confirmed
    • Product details are checked one more time
    • Delivery is coordinated directly through your sales rep
    • The salesperson delivers the order when applicable

You know who you are working with, who quoted the job, and who to call when it is time to reorder.

A Personalized Process by Design

We built our ordering process around relationships, not automation. That allows us to:

For many businesses, ordering supplies is not just about clicking buttons. It is about getting the right materials, in the right quantities, through someone who understands the work.
